Not That It's The Only Reason

But I agree with Instapundit that it's a good one:

Obama is humorless, and full of himself. That would make him a great target for satire, except that his followers take the position that any mockery or criticism is racist. The prospect of four years of that sort of thing is the best reason I can think of not to vote for him.

I don't think that the Obama worshipers have any sense of what a turn-off he is to the rest of us.

I'm a bit confused by the wording at Instapundit (reading the article didn't help), but was the "official joke" really official from Obama or satire by Borowitz. Certainly, it is not funny at all, so coming from Obama, that would be bad enough for the story being told by the article. However, the joke fails on another angle:

"A traveling salesman knocks on the door of a farmhouse, and much to his surprise, Barack Obama answers the door. The salesman says, 'I was expecting the farmer's daughter.' Barack Obama replies, 'She's not here. The farm was foreclosed on because of subprime loans that are making a mockery of the American dream.' "

Considering Kelo and Democrats threats of nationalizing companies, it is pretty scary that Barack Obama would fancy himself answering the door at the foreclosed on home. Throw in his dealings with Rezko, and one wonders if Obama took advantage of the vulnerable farmer and now owns their home (Personnel level), or President Obama is having the government take over private property (Public level). Both are chilling prospects beyond the farmer's family being put out of their home.

Bad joke, and so much darker than meer humorless. I hope it is satire and not an officially approved Obama joke.

The key to the joke is that "The One" had been martyred three days before by the intolerant, white, right-wingers and rose from the dead on the third day to answer the door. You must have missed a meeting.

Alleluia He is risen!!

It was satire by Borowitz (sorry, not a permalink until it goes in the archive).

Here's a couple of Obama jokes:

Q: What's the difference between Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter?

A: You're a RACIST!

Barack Obama, the Pope, and Paris Hilton walk into a bar. If you think there's going to be a punch line, you're a RACIST!

ah... even satire of Barack Obama's humor is dry. It's hard to tell the satire, when you consider some of Obama's stump speeches. Such as the one where he suggested a woman couldn't afford a breathalyzer for her child with Asthma. No need for facts, no need for humor, just repeat the meme.
