I guess he can’t handle the idea of being the omega dog in the pack.
I wonder how many of these guys (the senior libs) will be hanging it up between now and November. The reality of what is going to happen is beginning to sink in (hey, they were always slow learners), and a rather embarassing descent into minority-party status might not be quite what they had in mind…

I think this last part may be of significance for space policy.
