  1. From one class act to another. Peyton Manning is a great QB. He isn’t the greatest of all time but he’s up there. He is widely respected because he treats others – both on his team and his opponents – with respect.

    Thanks for the link.

  2. I really don’t agree with the “Class Act”, It tough to call any Professional athlete now days a class act and most certainly not someone of football royalty that is the Manning. You just don’t know them thru their is layer after layer of marketing and protectionism.
    Was this a class act?

or how bout these tactics of a class act?

How bout using his wife as a shield for shipments of HGH.

Now is Peyton Manning a competitor and one of the greatest Quarterback yes and shows publicly sportsmanship. But he also a marketing/walking commercial after winning the Superbowl before kissing his wife as he claimed, he kisses Papa John and in his speech says he drink a lot of particular kind of beer that lines his pockets.

  3. For the sake of argument, ENGINEER, let’s suppose Peyton Manning actually did not do what Al Jazeera accused him of. A foreign-based media outlet is accusing him of something horrible. What should he do about it?

It’s not enough simply to make the truth known. False accusers need to be exposed and punished.

    1. Let get a few things straight before we visit fantasy land. What dose the “Foreign” Media outlet has to do with anything other than they are truly independent, every other major news organization is a partner of the NFL or collect money from running an ad that has Peyton Manning as a sponsor, so no one going to bite the hand that feeds them. The only other source for something like this is TMZ sports website, various other small time sports websites and smaller news papers who most don’t have the resources to do an investigation of this.

Is it truly that horrible of a thing they accused him of, this is not baseball and Cycling where it nearly a sport’s death penalty stripping of his accomplishments? Football players get caught using performance enhancing drugs all the time and they get barely a slapped on the wrist. The MVP of this year Superbowl got caught using PEDs, the Pete Carroll champion Sea-hawks had the most caught PED users in the previous 3 years of there championship. The Patriots last year had PED users. The league and owners really don’t care, as much with the NFL it about the appearance of doing something, they like the guys are able to bounce back from injury quicker and that their bigger more physical. But they want something to put the breaks on it so doesn’t get out of hand. Now in Peyton case he wasn’t even doing it to truly enhance his performance but doing it for recovery from an injury that by all medical experts should of ended his career, he came back and the year after he came back he puts up some of the best numbers of his career.

Now lets enter fantasy land that he innocent of what AL Jazeera accused him of that his wife received shipments of HGH (which by the way even the Manning people aren’t denying that she received shipments of something from the institute.). Now what should he do, there was enough juice especially the baseball part, that there was/is going to be an independent, and NFL investigation of the matter. He opens himself up to there investigation and be transparent with them allow them clear his name and then afterward he can maybe pursue libel and punish the libeler and doing it legally not as a vigilante (Yes I am ignoring the weakness of libel laws for public figure) but being known as liar on such high profile incident would be TOXIC to the accuser and be nearly Punishment enough, he could never work as a pharmacist again. Not strong arm tactics of send “investigators” to the accusers/witness Parent home to track him down and caused enough ruckus that the parents had there daughter called the police because they were seedy and acting like law enforcement. And these investigators did something that the accuser/witness the day after the visit films a denial to everything before the documentary airs that he not even fully sure what he denying. If this was a criminal case what the investigators did could be consider witness tampering.

Being vindictive and petty that trying to punish his accuser on his own, is not a “Class Act”. there more acts of a Former president of ours who I would assume you wouldn’t consider a “class act” now too bad in this case someone isn’t keeping a blue dress in there closet to call him out on his BS.

Peyton has made it pretty clear at the time he was willing to do anything to make it back into the NFL.
“Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Manning flew to Europe for a stem cell therapy that currently is not approved for use in the United States. ….. But it confirms that Manning will do whatever he has to do to play again. “

  4. At each of the Texans’ home games a boy and girl are made honorary team captains and go out with the team mascot for the coin toss. Afterwords, they get a photo taken at midfield with the mascot. Usually, the Texans players shake the hands of the kids and the opposing team players ignore them. Peyton Manning always shook the hands of the kids, even though it was in the opposing team’s stadium. That’s class.

    1. Just because Peyton has shown some common human decency when people are watching unlike some of the other barbarians that are chosen as be team captains like Rich Icgonaito , Suh and other animals or how bout his own fan bases.

Still doesn’t make him have class, now maybe if he did something nice for the poor girl booed after the fact to go against his fan base then that be classy but there no media report of that happening. Closet thing is when he was upset that the video board operator was making fun of a opposing Quarter back, or maybe he was just more annoyed that his own fans were making noise when he was on offense.
