No More Going In Circles

Fellow space-policy blogger Mark Whittington has a column in today's LA Times recommending that NASA get out of the low earth orbit business. Not a bad idea, but unfortunately, the devil's in the details.

My piece, by the way, was edited for space somewhat. I had some verbage about encouraging private development and why an all out lunge at Mars is not a good idea at this time which didn't make the final cut. But all in all, it's a good feeling to get some ideas out on the main stream media.
