"A Million Mogadishus"
An Amerikkka-hating professor at Columbia University wants to see thousands of our troops die in Iraq. His audience applauded him. He hopes, however, that he won't get "death threats."
Words fail me.
[Update at 9:40 AM PST]
Here's a first-hand account of the event from a Columbia student.

"Words fail me."
Words don't fail ME, but none of them are decent enough to publish on your blog.

Why is it that jerks like De Genova never see, that its the people in the military protecting us and our freedom of speech that allows him to be a talking horses ass!! Like Barbara, I too have many more words but I respect your Blog too much to enter them here. Perhaps I'll send them with my death threat.

How could this guy bring himself to work at a University (Columbia)named after the killer of Native Americans? I'll bet a big bag of beans that he spent his young years pursuing his education as opposed to serving his country. In my opinion, he's a waste of skin.

That crazy professor infuriated me so much I had to write (npd18@columbia.edu
) him a letter, immediately. If he was a Baghdad prof saying such things about Iraqi soldiers he would have been exectued.

What he's really asking for is less than 20 American causalities for every 1,000 to 2,000 foreigners. Sounds like he's either a bloody warmonger or ignorant of what actually happened in Mogadishu.

What happened in Somalia during the following years was arguably worse. They still haven't recovered and there's no little reason to expect that the future will be much different.
I wonder what the good professor has against Somalis?
