Infallible Guide

I never thought much of the idea, but I'm now convinced that it would be a bad idea to shut down Gitmo. Jimmy Carter has come out in favor of it.

Shut it down and do what exactly with the murdering terrorists which occupy it? Send them to their respective home countries? In some cases that might work out nicely, but do you send a Syrian or Iranian back home. There they’d receive a hero’s welcome then we would face them again, better trained and with a following. Sometimes I wonder why the great bunny hunter is even allowed to speak. I’m a former member of Jimmy’s permanent press army. It was a dark and scary time in the history of our military. As usual we have a democrat making grand statements without thinking through the consequences.

JJS - are you sure Jimmuh hasn't thought through the consequences?

He's a dictator-ass-kissing ultra-liberal who obviously doesn't give a rat's ass about the safety of America and Americans.

He knows he's not in danger - he's got that Secret Service brigade to protect him and his family. To hell with the rest of us - particularly if he can garner some other international, far left, anti-American award.

Too bad that damn rabbit didn't have rabies. :-(

...this is a no brainer. If Mr Ex-President Jimmy "I'll lock myself in the White House to help the Iranian Hostages" Carter is FOR it, it's the wrong idea at the wrong time, meaning anytime.

Maybe he'll let them out of Gitmo and build them some habitats for murdering thugs of humanity homes!!

Carter is and was a boob, he will be a boob when he dies, and he'll be remembered as a boob by those of us who had him for a Commander-In-Chief.

I just looked up BOOB in my Funk and Wagnalls, its Carters picture and its a color picture.

Well, at least he pointed out that Idiots International was wrong in calling it a Gulag!

Posted by Fred Kiesche at June 8, 2005 02:33 PM

Yeah, gulags are in Siberia.

Posted by Gojira at June 8, 2005 03:10 PM

"Yeah, gulags are in Siberia."

That and the small fact millions were worked to death under forced labor in them and I have not heard of anyone being killed at Gitmo.

Otherwise, it was exactly like Gitmo, except it isin't.

So tell me Gojira, are you inferring that shAmnesty International is right about Gitmo being Gulag like?
