That might be a big mistake for the Palestinians. In spite of his foolish adherance to the idea of Palestinian statehood, he has a stronger adherance to the idea of eliminating Al Qaeda bases. That whole 'no difference between terrorists and the countries that harbor them.' thing.

I love it when they willingly step inside a Roach Motel! If we can find them, we can kill them.

I agree with Bob. If anything can shake Bush loose from his incomprehensible Palestinian exception to the Bush "Doctrine," having al Qaeda operating out of Gaza will do it.

It's not clear to me that Hamas is cool with the presence of Al Qaeda in Gaza. According to the story, that's why Al Qaeda wasn't present in Gaza before. Perhaps Al Qaeda is buying their way in by smuggling in explosives or the like. Either invited or not, it does seem to indicate weakness on the part of Hamas.

Actually I suspect that by decapitating the leaders of Hamas and Fatah Israel is only hastening the rise of Al Qaeda as the only meaningful oposition in Palestine.
