I interviewed a prospective employee once who agreed to "whatever" it took to get hired. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. When I told this interviewee I didn't think it was appropriate to say that during an interview, the prospect asked if I thought my boss would be interested.
Now I won't say whether the prospect was male or female, but this person could see that I was male and had met my boss prior to our little interview session and knew my boss was female.
So I guess "whatever" really meant, well "whatever"!
We hired someone else.
