I'm OK, You're Biased

Here's an interesting article on perceptions of bias. It turns out (not surprisingly) that we underestimate our own, and overestimate others'.

Supreme Court justices are confident that their legal opinions are not influenced by their financial stake in a defendant's business

or, perhaps, by their desire to be liked by legal reporters / law professors?

Oh no, that's not bias, that's just good judging.
