The wonderland that is Durham continues. I have the same question as the commenters--what kind of a university would hire a loon like this to teach young people? Is this a problem unique to Duke, or does every university have such creatures among its professoriate? I fear the answer.

I hope that they take the pro bono offer in comments and sue him for slander.

Funny how the players who demonstrated the 'Southern Racism' came from Maryland, New Jersey, and New York. I guess they are 'Southern' - if you live in Canada.

Rand, unfortunately I believe professors like him exist in most colleges and universities. They provide a haven for people with these beliefs. They get tenure (a job for life), surround themselves with young, impressionable students, and associate with others who have their same beliefs. They are never seriously challenged which just reinforces (to them) how smart they are and just how dumb the rest of us are. Sad.
