There's something about it I don't quite like. There's an undercurrent of assumed, clubbish leftyness so far, combined with a hipper-than-thou attitude that's rubbing me the wrong way.

Well, I'm not getting the "sense of wonder" from a scan. Reminds me of the page that Omni editors tried to start after the magazine folded, only less interesting.

Hmmm. An entertainment site I think with a smattering of interesting stuff. Not really enough to get worked up about. I can read about movies on many sites and the same for science and technology. Don't think this site will be very successful; I have no reason to go back.
