How Does That Happen?

Sarah Palin says repeatedly on the stump that they'll balance the budget by the end of the first term. Have they actually put forth a plan to do that? I suppose I should actually go over and look at the campaign web site...

I also have to confess that I find her voice and speaking style annoying. It's nothing on which I'd base my vote, of course, but I can see how it might add to the fury of people who don't like her politics.

Because under the fierce actinic glare of the television lights no politician can lie, bullshit, evade the question, or recount some tall tale for the purpose?

You sure have some faith in the magical powers of the press. If I had a similar faith, I'd be most pissed that they haven't turned some of that Tell The Truth power onto The O and his wondrous basket of promises 95% will get a tax cut! But they'll be free health care for all! And we'll all drive solar- and wind-powered cars by 2020! Every child will be above average!
