Rasmussen says that a quarter of the public thinks that lawmakers know what they’re doing in an economic crisis. He says it is “only” that much, but it seems way too high for my comfort. What are they, idiots?

They start dealing with the factors that got us into this mess, loans to people who couldn’t afford it, excessive leverage on financial institutions, etc., I -might- believe they understand how to fix it.
Which just goes to show you how little a big chunk of the electorate knows. Scary, eh?
