  1. I should write a book, call it Tomorrow and its Foes, and take on a sweet sounding label for my particular array of beliefs–how about forwardism?–while lumping together my opponents under a single, fearful, uninspired, reactionary banner.

  2. Thank you for the link! It was fun to fill out the survey. I had a pleasant dispute with my husband about top ten episodes.

One question: What’s the official name for the Voyager doctor? Did he ever get a name?

  3. I sent in my data. Almost nothing except what relates to the original series. I doubt I could name a single episode of any other, and I know I can name only the characters from TNG, no other series. I fear I am an old crank, a dwarf of a Trekkie.

There was a rumor at one point that he would, but it never actually happened. Like the guy with a TARDIS, he was always and simply known as ‘The Doctor.’

Well, it is a proven business model.

    Emergency Medical Hologram

  7. If you enter the wrong phrase for the anti-spambot feature, you get this warning (emphasis added): “Captcha verification failed. you may not be human. please try again.” Wait’ll the Romulans show up with their lawyers.

  8. First page has terrible questions about “most frequently watched”. I watched all of TNG in a few weeks last year.. I guess I have to put that as my most frequent watched period. I imagine that’s not what she intended.

  9. I had a hard time picking favorite scripts, especially since I was trying really hard not to make them all TNG scripts. DH hadn’t even seen some of the ones that stood out so much in my mind as being “Best Of..”

I made him watch Darmok. He pretended to be mostly interested in Ashley Judd, whom I’d forgotten was in it. But then it became clear that he completely got the point of the episode, so I forgave him.

  10. Jane, that’s one of my fav episodes, owing to my annoying habit of speaking in similes and metaphors, sometimes going into full Darmok mode. (See, normally I would have to explain what that meant…)
