That is a major shame. I first met Pete Rustan the same day I met Pete Worden, in the moldy basement of the Pentagon when they were just starting to work on Clementine. (Stu Nozette as well).
I kept in touch with Pete off an on over the years and during the time when he was a consultant he helped me out on a couple of projects. Lost track of him pretty much after he became the head of advanced tech at NRO but kept hearing about how he was trying to poke the dinosaur into being something better.
