My wife and I were witness to some karaoke violence some years ago. A Whitney Houston wannabe maimed “I Will Always Love You” so badly that I keep expecting that song to turn up in Terri Schiavo redux news stories.

My wife is a Filipina. We go to many get togethers with other Filipinos. They’re a fun-loving bunch and love to throw parties. The food and the company are great but when they break out the karoke machine, it’s time for me to go.
Doesn’t karoke mean “tone deaf” in Japanese? If it doesn’t, then it should.
The crowd could get real ugly if anyone ever rick-rolls the karaoke machine…
