  1. Has Steele lost his mind or something? Or maybe he’s a mole attempting to prevent a Republican takeover in November.

  2. If this is true, Steele should be in the hospital because he’s obviously not in control of his faculties.

    Involuntary commitment …

  3. If he was speaking to Code Pink in a fundraiser for Ralph Nader, I would understand his remarks. Wouldn’t agree with them, but I’d at least understand the angle.

Here’s spin… more evidence to me that the problem isn’t such and such party. The problem is politician living in DC so long they become detached from reality. Alas, I expected the DNC to take over in 2006 to flush out some of the dino Republicans. 2010, time to flush out the dino Democrats.

  4. Steele has been an idiot forever. Failed out of law school, failed out of seminary, as a consolation prize he was lieutenant governor of Maryland under Ehrlich only because he was the only black in the Maryland republican party. Running for US Senate in 2008 all the college students threw oreo cookies at him. He finally gave up being chair of the MD republican party leaving it bankrupt and in debt and being audited due to his terrible book keeping.

  5. Come on, guys, “never get involved in a land war in Afghanistan?” It’s inconceivable that this was not a joke.

  6. I’ve always thought Steele was given the job in response to the Dems running a black presidential candidate.

I am extremely unimpressed with him in his current job.

  7. Nah, I think he got the job because Ken Blackwill scared the RINOs & organization-men, who wanted a more-reassuring black alternative to protect them from the racist accusation. Steele seemed like more of a safe “bargainer”, and he didn’t carry the baggage of the implosion of the Ohio state party with him – the Maryland Republican Party is perma-imploded.

  8. It’s inconceivable that this was not a joke.

Unfortunately, nothing is too absurd these days. It’s like Poe’s Law applies to everyone.
