  1. I didn’t realize his picture on the jacket was an example for his book, not a publicity photo.

  2. ERIC ALTERMAN, AUTHOR, WHAT LIBERAL MEDIA: Fucking Nascar retards…

Wow. I don’t know which is worse, the irony or the depravity…it’s like one of those chocolate/peanut-butter cups…

  3. Please, please, Spencer Ackerman, TRY to throw me through a plate glass window. I would LOVE to kill these tough-talking cowards!!!

  4. Also, I see we have the usual conservative martyr game here and elsewhere. “I’m so much better because I’m not violent.”

THEY’RE STOMPING US BECAUSE THEY ARE VIOLENT!!!

    FIGHT BACK LIKE MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Hey, just because we conservative types don’t talk about defending ourselves doesn’t mean we can’t. Ever see an 8th level black belt strutting his stuff? He won’t. But when the time comes, he’ll deal with the problem and go back to being the quiet guy he was before mayhem was required.

  6. Sorry, I lost it there. These perverted creeps do that to me.

Having said that, I’ve heard an awful lot of conservatives say what you’re saying, yet old people are still getting beat up by leftist subhuman trash. So when does the blood start flowing?

  7. Another thing that causes me to doubt the courage of conservatives is the fact that we nominate these war heroes for President, who then roll over and not only won’t try to win, but won’t even defend their own supporters, or VP candidates.

  8. Er, well, ask the burglars whether I let myself get beat up. Or the guy who grabbed me at the 7-11. Or the jerk who tried to steal stuff from an office I worked in. Or the punks who started name-calling outside my apartment one dark night…

  9. Yeah, and meanwhile the public sees Mitch McConnell as the face of the supposedly “tough” Republican Party, while the Democrats are openly violent against our own.

There are only two possible ends here: either they kill all of us, which they have made it clear they intend to do, or we kill all of them.

  10. Ken, are you for real or just trolling? For all the talk, the people in question don’t throw people through windows or watch them die from heart attacks. They’re just nasty, petty passive aggressives. Going super-macho on them is absurd and self-defeating.

  11. “Going super-macho on them is absurd and self-defeating.”

This is particularly true when you remember that the original tough talk is just their infantile way of giving each other phony courage. It’s like the arrested adolescents I sometimes see on other blogs who insists on calling Fox News, Faux News. They seem to believe they are striking a blow for truth, justice, and the progressive American way. They (like the JournaListers) are just demonstrating that they are childish and impotent.

  12. They are bigotted against conservatives. This is the equivalent of the sort of Iran glass parking lot comment that they would be all over if a conservative made it.

    Yours,
    Tom

  13. Much ado about nothing. Why is this kind of thing even on your radar?

However, while on page 2 (trying to figure out what you folks were talking about) a preview of a story on Bristol Palin scrolled by and from the looks of it, that gal has quite a set.

    So thanks, I guess.

  14. In this and the previous post you seem to have attracted some trolls. Funny how they’re still harping on the same old same old (Bristol Palin sex jokes, and in the previous post, mean old America and its bad old military making babies cry). Talk about stuck on stupid… they’re stuck on stale too.

  15. Cockroaches, the whole lot of them. “I’ve gotta be all non-partisan on…” Or Sotomayor, “did I say that on camera?”

Sometimes they do reveal themselves in the light. Kagan, “I don’t have a view of what are natural rights…” so I guess unalienable doesn’t have a meaning either?

I hope the tea party wave becomes a tsunami at the polls. Then we cut off government money, taxpayer money, from supporting media through grants that can’t keep operating in a free market. We need to get rid of all organizations that can’t support themselves in a free market.

  16. Noticing a woman’s figure is not a “sex joke”, at least as far as I’m concerned, but I do appologize if it offended you.

  17. Much ado about nothing. Why is this kind of thing even on your radar?

It must be something if you’re trying to down-play it. If it were nothing, you’d ignore it like all the other nothings you ignored today.

  18. Actually, and seriously I’m not trying to pick a fight here, I usually DO ignore posts that seem to be all about jgenerating hate or divisiveness. I agree that most of the comments from those “journalists” were pretty stupid, gushy, and probably cause them to cringe if they had to read them again.

But I’ve come to respect most of the folks that comment on Rand’s blog, and having gone and visited the site to see what the anger was about, it just didn’t seem to be something that was worth getting worked up over, and that’s all I was saying.

One of my first visits to this blog I made what I thought was a funny quip, and it turned out not to be taken as such by some folks. For that I also apologize (AGW Post).

I’ve tried to approach this forum with sober restraint, commenting only when I felt I had something to add or when I wanted more information. I may not be a “yes man” to all that Rand writes about, but I am most certainly not a “troll”.

    For what it’s worth.

Bennett, I point them out to note how sophomoric are the people who helped (through their gross abuse and flouting of journalistic ethics) to ensure that the president wasn’t properly vetted by the media as most (non-Democrat) candidates are, and thus helped foist this disaster on the country.

I also hope to help further reduce their credibility so that they have less power to do so in the future.

I certainly don’t think you’re a troll, and welcome your comments here.

  20. It seems to me that the leftists are consciously trying to push our buttons in the hope that someone who can be labeled as a conservative, a Republican, or a Tea Partier will lose it and get violent. Then they can publicize that incident in order to demonize and delegitimize the opposition. They would really love to see something like that happen before the election, which would frighten away moderates and independent voters.

Glenn Beck has been saying this for the last couple of years.

I expect them to steadily ratchet up the rhetoric, as well as actual street violence, in the coming months. (It is leftists, after all, who are the real experts in generating mob violence.)

As for me, I’m far from a pacifist. I’ve been predicting civil war ever since Obama’s election, and I stand by my prediction. At some point we will have to fight for our liberty, or else surrender to tyranny and slavery. I’m not a strategist, though, so I don’t know where the line is. Anyone who acts too soon will be regarded as a Timothy McVeigh type; but if we wait too long we will end up in the gulag. It’s quite a conundrum.

  21. Thanks Rand. I’ve learned quite a bit from your posts, and readily admit that my views have changed over the last six months. Due in part to the quality of your writing.

  22. There is a term in police work known as “Bought and paid for.”

Eventually they will cross a line where they are just that if they don’t find their civility first.

I intend to let them be the one to cross that line and not myself. I can afford to be magnamious and absorb the first blow because I know my strength and their strength.

If they ever do dare cross that line in the sand, it is going to be an ugly and rude awakening for them.

I would truly prefer they remove their head from their fourth point of contact and that day never arrive on this shore.

There will be a coup amongst our professional military long before the day of the Gulag would arrive.
