Back To CA

Probably no more posts until I get back to California tomorrow, because I don’t think I’ll have Interweb access.

[Saturday afternoon update]

Well, I got back in time to see a great Michigan/Notre-Dame game. I think we’re going to start hearing Heisman buzz about Robinson, but Michigan’s defense is still suspect. Fortunately they have a soft early schedule from here on in to work on it, before the Spartans and Hawkeyes in October.

  1. Iowa has had trouble in the past with mobile QBs but I think their team speed is better this year. UM had better work on their run D.

    Go Hawks!!

  2. Michigan couldn’t stop ND at all when they had their starting QB in the game, and UMs third down conversion rate was abyssmal. Also, the surge in the second half showed Kelly was much better than Rich Rodriguez at making halftime adjustments. (Amazing how Kelly didn’t need two years to go from pro set to spread offense like RR did) The only reason they one was QB Robinson kept pulling rabbits out of his helmet and saving everything just as it it was about to fall apart.

Basically Rich is the same idiot/crook he was last year and year before only now he’s got a one of a kind spectacular talent continually pulling rabbit’s out of his hat. When Robinson graduates (or more likely leaves early, UM will revert to the same pathetic team they were under RR’s first two years. I’d almost rather see them lose this year so RR gets fired and they replace him with a real coach who could rebuild what he destroyed.
