I think that the life boat foundation is focused on the wrong issues. They are obsessed over perceived “natural” threats. Everything ranging from an asteroid impact to, say, someone making a black hole in a laboratory and letting it escape by mistake. They ignore the REAL threats which are politicos and bureaucrats that hate freedom and openness. These, which I call institutional threats, are the only real threats to freedom and productive accomplishment. The threats that the lifeboat people obsess about are red-herrings.
