Off The Air

I’m heading off to drive up to the space conference in Mountain View, and will arrive some time this evening. Be good in the comments sections.

[Late evening update]

Had a good drive up, except for getting stuck in a traffic jam for an hour just east of Gilroy. Got a good whiff of garlic, though.

Back on line tomorrow morning from the conference. Lori Garver is the headliner.

  1. I’ll be sure to maintain the highest standards of commentary.

Anyone else have a comment about Uranus?

  2. Hey, this is fun news. When I worked the program, it was designed for 30 years. So 21 years is too much? Probably.

As for Winehouse, how could you get to 200+ comments? Really? She telegraphed her own demise with her biggest hit. And other than artsy people, how many people really recognize any of her music or can name her biggest hit?

Alas, I gave you +1 on your effort to 200. Her demise is no less shocking than Democrats trying to raise taxes.

  3. I would have suggested a toga party or equivalent, but it would just be a sausage-fest with this crowd.

  4. You should drive through Gilroy at 2am. The garlic is overwhelming then.

    ‘Tis a vampire-free zone.

  5. I like that you mentioned that, one of my best friends from the service was from Gilroy. He would avoid it like the plague during the festival.
