  1. President Al Bundy, constantly reminding us of that one great high school football game He had.

  2. Rand, every military operation is under the tactical command of military officers. That’s how the US military works. The last president to take tactical command of troops in the field was Lincoln. He did that for a couple of hours during the Peninsula Campaign.

The green light for the operation came from Obama, as documented in your link. It remains unclear if Romney would have authorized the incursion. We know for a fact McCain wouldn’t – he said so during the debates.

You can spin it all you want, but GM is alive and Bin Laden dead because of Obama.

    1. And Afghanistan has been a smashing success!! Plummeting morale among troops. Members of the Afghan security forces killing American soldiers. And Karzhai demanding every other week for us to leave his country. Why that’s, that’s; wait that friggin’ SUCKS — Nevermind.

If you actually take Romney’s whole quote you’ll see that, just as with Bush and with McCain that they acknowledge a global jihadist effort to comment acts of terror by multiple cells. And at least Romney is able to call out the perpetrators of terror by the actual name. There’s no hiding behind Orwellian labels and describing acts of terror as “man-caused disasters”. The total war against radical Islamism goes beyond just one scraggly old dude sitting in a compound putting on his ‘Just for Men’ and watching porn. The real masterminds behind the 9/11 attacks were captured or killed. The training compounds funded by Osama were dismantled. All he was reduced to at this point was releasing his greatest hits on tape. And it’s just rich that they get Bill Clinton, the President that let Osama get away not once but twice to come out and spike the football. Oh wait! Don’t spike the football! We’re better than that according to Obama. So lets make a commercial doing the Dirty Bird instead….

    2. We know for a fact McCain wouldn’t – he said so during the debates.

With all due respect … how bloody stupid are you? Do you really think it’s a smart thing to go on television for the whole world to see, and announce that you intend to violate the sovereignty of a wavering, unstable ally? That’s why so many of us were appalled when Barack “Macho” Obama announced that he would do exactly that. Oh yeah, that’s “smart diplomacy” indeed.

You can spin it all you want, but GM is alive and Bin Laden dead because of Obama.

And GM is doing so frakkin’ well after getting sixty billion bucks from the taxpayers, isn’t it? And the entire Islamic world respects us so much more because of Obama, doesn’t it?

    3. GM went bankrupt after the bailouts, Obama’s plan was a failure. Bond holders got screwed while the union that contributes hundreds of millions to Obama and the Democrats got a cushy bailout. Obama should have listened to Romney and McCain when they called for a structured bankruptcy after the first $10b didn’t even get GM 6 months.

    4. GM is alive and Bin Laden dead because of Obama

It’s like… like he calmed the seas and healed the planet.

Slay the infidels that do not worship the one.

Life itself comes from Obama oh you worthless ones (see tax laundering for campaign finance 7,300,000 hits or just GM which is the same thing.) All bow low ye heathen.

    5. The spin is all the Democrats in claiming the President made a ‘gutsy’ call. There was nothing gutsy about it, because the people putting their lives on the line were the US Navy SEALs and US Army Nightstalkers. The only way to claim ‘gutsy’ is in term of risking political capital. With whom would he have lost political capital by making the call? His own base, which went into hysterics when then Vice President Cheney suggested killing Bin Laden but has since cared nothing about the current President calling for targeted assissinations of US citizens abroad. It’s gutsy to Gerrib, because he is representative of Obama’s base.

      1. ^^^This.

There was nothing ‘gutsy’ about it — once Bush left office, Osama was useless to the Left. If Osama wanted to keep breathing air, he would have found a way to stuff the ballot box for McCain in ’08 — the Left would have continued with their War on the War on Terror.
