I hadn’t heard the news. Catherine O’Hara was so great, starting with her SCTV roles, especially as Lola Heatherton, then Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice, Kate McCallister in the Home Alone movies, and of course all of her characters in Christopher Guest’s movies. My favorite was her portrayal of Mickey Crabbe in A Mighty Wind, with a close second place as Marilyn Heck in For Your Consideration. I just thought she would always be around. What shocks me is finding out that she was only 55 days older than me. Rest in Peace, Catherine O’Hara.
She did a great job impersonating Katherine Hepburn in a sketch entitled “The Man Who Would Be King And Pope”.
