Nasty Weather

Forecast for Tehran: Partly cloudy today, with occasional showers of snakes...

A snake fell from the sky into a car in Iran, biting four passengers and killing two of them. It was apparently dropped by a passing eagle.

Is this a new terrorist weapon?

I see you never had to work your way through Homer or Virgil on the Fall of Troy or you would have recognized the Laocoon event described here. Laocoon described the danger of the Trojan Horse to the Trojans, who disregarded his warning. At that point, the serpents killed him and his sons. The snake dropped by the eagle is another classical omen. A classicist would tell you that the auspices have been taken and Teheran will fall. Let's get that horse built soon.
