Frances Update

Hi, I'm Bill Simon, webmaster of Transterrestrial Musing. I have just spoken with Rand and I want to let you know that Rand and Patricia are doing okay in the aftermath of Hurricane Frances. There was minimal wind damage to their home and no flooding. I am writing this because, as of this post, they are still without power and have no estimate as to when it will be back on. As such Rand's computers are down. The house is still boarded up, however, as they keep an eye on Ivan.

That's it for now. Rand will post as soon as he gets a chance.

Thanks for the update; good to know that Rand is still okay. Now Ivan is freaking me out. :-(

From the news reports on power problems in Florida, I suspected that was the issue. Given half a chance, I would bet Rand would be blogging... :)

Glad to hear things aren't too bad. Probably lots of mess, though.

Woo-hoo! Thanks for the update, Bill.

Rand, whenever you can read this - glad you all are OK & there's not too much damage to the house. Smart move to leave everything battened down until Ivan decides where he's going.

Hope you all get power back soon. I was without power for 5 days after Isabel (some were out for weeks), and it got old quick.

Looking forward to your being back on the "air" again soon.

Man. August in Florida with no air conditioning. I think I'd almost rather be in the hurricane.

Hope you get power back soon, Rand.

Hang in there, Rand.

There was mention of damage to Kennedy on Fox Monday afternoon, does someone have a link to the extent of the damage?

Posted by Al at September 7, 2004 08:58 AM

Since Rand isn't around for awhile, could we beat up on Jeff Bell in honor of Rand? He is asking for it today.

Hope all is well Rand. I got power restored monday afternonn so I was only without for less than 36 hours. It helps having underground power lines. A couple of places here in Melbourne didn't lose power at all. Some people have all the luck.
Nothing important was damaged at my place. I have some pics up of the worst of the damage in the neighborhood.
