Heh, I also liked the speculation that someone in New York City would buy it no matter how bad it tasted. Must be part of the "I'll eat anything that costs $500 per pound" crowd.

Wouldn't it be great to be in a business where the demand goes up when the price does too?

For a true luxury product.. well, bear cheese can't be beat. But they have to replace the milking staff frequently.
