Note that I don’t actually think that it’s the president’s responsibility to go and give hugs to people in a natural disaster. I’m just (continually) sickened by the media double standard.
I’m just surprised that His worshipers are passing up an opportunity to blame this on Chimpy breaking FEMA so bad that even The Big Zero can’t fix it.
(On the other hand, especially with all the “fixes” since New Orleans, this tends to show that maybe the FEMA model of disaster management is inherently flawed.)
It’s not just the national media either. I grew up in Louisville and still have family in KY, and Southern IN so I’ve been following this stuff.
I checked the WHAS and WAVE TV news websites on Thursday. Both stations used words like sporadic and isolated to reference the power outages south and west of the area. When I talked to my Uncle in Louisville, he said the people all over the area were shocked about the half-assed, lack of effective coverage.
I guess if you’re busy praising the Emperor of the Universe, you might not notice the universe coming to an end around you?
