  1. It’s not mentioned, but I’m guessing the spacing of holes on these flutes correspond to modern notes (do,re, mi, etc?) I’m very interested to be enlightened by Rand’s commenters on this.

    It seems obvious the older bear flute is also a musical instrument.

    I’d be very surprised if they did. The western scale is a pretty modern invention, and…western. For instance, the chanter on (Celtic) bagpipes don’t have western spacing (one reason some people don’t like to listen to them).

    humans can make beats by singing coughing whistling and humming.People Believ that one of the first instruments was the flute,For they have found a flute that is made of bear femur bones! They also found a flute from china that is made of bird bones.Ireland discovered wooden pipes.
