Liar-In-Chief

Thoughts from Roger Simon.

Between Bill Clinton and Barack Obama (not to mention John Edwards), I have to wonder what it is about Democrats that they are so tolerant of liars as their candidates?

[Update a few minutes later]

Speaking of liars, Jay Carney gets pretty much everything wrong in his press event. Of course, to be fair, he might actually believe what the other liars are telling him. In which case, he’s not a liar, but an idiot (not that the two are mutually exclusive).

[Update a while later]

Boo hoo. David Maraniss regrets telling the truth about the president.

  1. Don’t forget John Kerry, who led a secret mission into Cambodia via an unpassable border on a different river from the one his boat was on, where he heard the gunfire of an enemy that wouldn’t exist for several more years. He also spent hours standing on deck bravely leading a rescue under heavy machine gun fire from both banks of a river, one that’s only a hundred feet wide, without his boat (the size of a semi-truck) getting hit by a single bullet.

Then there’s Al Gore (“No controlling legal authority”) and all his climate lies, and Hillary Clinton, whose Rose Law firm records just wander around.

      1. That must have been like the secret CIA spy plane flight that private citizen George Bush allegedly took to Paris to convince the Iranians not to release the hostages until after the election in 1980.

  2. People will correctly point out that all politicians lie. It will be hard to think of one that has lied more than the Obama in the linked article.

  3. There is no truth but socialist truth.

Plus, if you’ve got a philosophy of legalized looting (which is basically the ongoing platform of the Democratic Party), you probably aren’t into the honesty thing anyway. What’s a little lie comared to wholesale plunder?

    1. IcePilot,
I think the correct rule for them is as follows, “The Ends, Justify the Means”.

  4. He made up his entire racial experience to prove what racist bastards white people are.

But that’s okay, because white people are racist bastards, and deserve to be taken down…even by proof that’s made up, because being a racist bastard is such a seriously bad thing. How do we know white people are racist bastards? Just read Bee-Hoe’s memory of his racial experiences, that’s how.

It’s as crystal clear as anthropogenic global warming, if you ask me.
