Just Like Every Other Parole Violator

He’s going to be held in solitary:

“He’s going to be confined in a special unit where he’d be in a solitary cell, locked up alone and in maddening isolation,” said attorney Mark Werksman, who is not representing Nakoula but has represented other inmates held at the same jail.

A spokeswoman for the Marshals Service, which is responsible for Nakoula, said the agency’s policy is to not discuss inmate security measures.

Larry Jay Levine, a former federal convict once held at Metropolitan and founder and director of Wall Street Prison Consultants, said Nakoula was likely held in an area called the special housing unit and that he would be kept safe there.

“It’s basically a ‘ground hog day’ kind of existence, because he’s not getting out of his cell,” Levine said.

But this has nothing to do with making a movie. Nothing to see here, folks.

  1. As unfortunate as his arrest is, being placed in solitary is likely the only way he’ll survive his return to prison.

There are a number of active, violent Muslim prison gangs that co-exist/rival other, more notorious gangs. I’d bet the Followers of Mohammed [tm] have a presence in the prison he will be placed in, and would love to claim the bounty for and/or notoriety of killing this particular prisoner.

    1. Exactly. If they placed him with the rest of prisoners he wouldn’t be around long, which of course would give the radical right even more conspiracy theories to spin…

Actually this also probably the best way to keep him alive to talk about the movie and I wouldn’t be surprise when the full story comes out we will find he agreed to it. But I am sure Rand and friends would prefer he just wait in his home for someone to collect the bounty on him to satisfy their world view…

        1. Actually, the only way this has a happy ending is if he does a “Rushdie” – essentially goes into Witness Protection. In the joint, outside – it doesn’t really matter: Radicalized Islam will kill him, just out of principle.

And, really, this is all the Obama Administration’s fault – it didn’t have to happen this way. Their vain attempts to redirect The Narrative failed, and this guy is the first modern victim of Obama’s 1st Amendment Suppression.

We all lose, really. Maybe November will provide some relief…

          1. Rand,

It only looks that way because of how the conservative elements media is spinning it. If it wasn’t for them they probably wouldn’t even know his fate.

          2. The Sept. 9 statement said “the time has come for a strong movement from you, O sons of Egypt, to release the detained” sheikh. “Let your slogan be: No to the American Embassy in Egypt until our detained sheikh is released.

            More propaganda here:
The son of Omar Abdel Rahman, a Jama’a al-Islamiya leader known as the “Blind Sheikh” who was convicted of terrorism charges in the US in 1995, threatened to organize a protest at the US Embassy in Cairo and detain the employees inside. – July 27, 2012

  2. IMDB blurb on the film’s casting, and of course the first comment is “Alan Roberts must be killed.”

Another mystery is why Google claims that Cindy Lee Garcia, who’s suing the filmmaker, has no Bacon number, yet she appeared in Broken Roads (IMDB link) with Sally Kirkland, who appeared with Kevin Bacon in JFK. Cindy Lee Garcia should have a Bacon number of 2, so the whole cast should have maximal Bacon numbers of 3. Between Google, the State Department, and the Oracle of Bacon, something is fishy. Maybe they don’t want some idiot in the Middle East showing a “Bacon chart” that links the movie to half the people in Hollywood.

    😀

  3. As I recall the timeline of events, on Sept. 11 a mob besieged the U.S. embassy in Cairo and raised the al-Quaida flag. The State Department issued a public apology for the video, which nobody in the U.S. had even seen or heard of.

Within hours, the Libyan consulate was attacked and four people were killed, including the U.S. ambassador. This was a organized, coordinated terrorist attack and was clearly planned in advance. It had nothing to do with mob violence. Yet the Obama administration insisted that the video was to blame.

Since then, there have been protests, demonstrations, and riots by Muslim mobs in countries all over the world, and they are explicitly citing the video as the reason.

That’s nonsense, of course. They are merely using the video as a pretext. Their goal is to intimidate Western countries into passing anti-blasphemy laws which will criminalize the criticism of Islam.

This is increasingly looking like a false-flag operation to me.

    1. rickl,

Ahh, Propaganda 101. Repeat the story enough and folks will believe it, at least those that only get their news from blogs like this one 🙂

      1. There must be hundreds of videos on the internet of people burning Korans in their backyards, stomping on them, and so forth, not to mention Ann Barnhardt’s legendary video showing her reading passages, tearing out the pages, and burning them. She used strips of bacon as bookmarks. She was trying to be as offensive to Islam as possible.

So why did this video (which was an amateurish joke) “cause” riots and mayhem all over the world? Why now?

        1. Yes, that is the new word the Tea Party has learned for those folks who dare to think for themselves and who don’t agree with them like good little robots – “deniers”. And like a spoiled child they throw it at anyone who has done their own research and found that the truth doesn’t match the stories echoing around the far right bloggers.

  4. So far the WH has changed their story and time line in these events daily since the attack, I keep waiting for them to blame George Bush, George Herbart Walker Bush, Reggie Bush, Adolphus Busch, and Moses because he talked top a burning Bush!

Thus far they’ve not blamed the people the Libyan’s said started all this in Libya, affiliates of the Muslim Bro’hood.
