Ingrates

Fortunately, Ember isn’t much of a hunter (neutering probably will do that), and his sister Ashe, who is the hunter in the family, generally only brings in butterflies, most of which I manage to save and release. We don’t have mice (AFAIK), but once in a great while she’ll get a bird.

  1. The most aggressive action my cat has ever done is to charge at a lizard to enforce her edict of banishment from the porch.

  2. My Sister had several cats, including an undersized male ginger tabby. One day kids playing, lived on a rural property in the Central Tableof New South Wales, were confronted by a Red Bellied Black Snake. A nasty creature. I grabbed the snake shovel but before I got to it the cat appeared out of nowhere, slammed into it full bore, then slashed it to bits. To this day I believe it killed the snake by the force of it’s impact. Full respect.
