I’d like to see AK-47s and boxes of ammo dropped in civilian areas on little parachutes. Not quite a replay of the “candy bombers” of Berlin Airlift fame, but just as useful to the recipients. Screw the local Sullivan Law.
To answer the question all I can say is let us sincerely hope.
We need to keep dropping 2,000-pounders on whatever remains of the government and military until there isn’t even any small arms fire coming up, never mind drones and missiles. Then we need to send in some snake-eaters and door-kickers to get all of that enriched uranium. Might be nice to stage that op out of the site used for Desert One back in the day – see how much we’ve learned in 46 years.
Thank you, but we really need someone with more energy than I expect to have left at 77 – which is how old I would be on inauguration day 2029 should I still be drawing breath.
Trump is, of course, a freak of nature in that respect, but I think his successor should be much younger. We’ve already seen the downside of excessively infirm geriatric leadership during the prior regime and in the Democratic Party generally.
The situation will change only when the small number of people allowed to own guns turn on themselves…
