  1. How about a plastic bag over his head so he can experience his own runaway carbon dioxide buildup?

(Almost anyone who talks of suicide is too gutless and cowardly to actually hurt go through with it.)

  2. I’d feel pretty bad, if I were in his position too. All I can say is that it’s his choice, just as it was his choice to obstruct criticism of climatology research. He looks like he’s got a bunch more years of life in him and he’s still a world expert in climatology. Maybe he should spend that time doing good climatology research.

  3. Off topic, but CSI Miami in investigating “death of a space tourist” in a somewhat SS1-like spacecraft.
One line: “Governments aren’t the only guys in space anymore….”

  4. Jones believes that the unit was maliciously targeted with multiple FoI requests by climate change sceptics determined to disrupt its work.

Isn’t sharing your data and skepticism central to the very definition of science?

  5. Ken,
not to mention that pesky idea of anyone seeking the truth as being perceived as “malicious”.

IF the Global Warming crowd had truth on their side, they COULD have and SHOULD have buried the FoI folks in FACTS. But hiding or destroying the original numbers tells most people that something UNtruthful happened.

    That seems much more malicious.

And if Mr. Jones considered suicide, isn’t that like a guy getting caught philandering and lying and NOW he sees his whole life and career possibly being over? I’m sorry, but I feel sorry for the “wife” who was lied to, not the lying, philandering jerk, who lied and philandered!! And the world’s people are the “wife” here.
