  1. “Kagan Says Military Had Access to Harvard Students”

U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan defended her treatment of military recruiters when she was dean at Harvard Law School, saying they had access to students “every single day” and any limitations were aimed at protecting the rights of gays and lesbians on campus.

Kagan said military officials recruited through an off- campus veterans’ group as she enforced a rule barring them from using the law school’s office of career services because the military kept gay people from serving openly.

  2. I’ve read many writing about she is not the intellectual equal of the conservatives on the Court. No one is writing about how the Democrats don’t care. She is the vote they expect, intellect be damned.

  3. Who would consider ACOG position papers to be examples of “science?” ACOG, like the AMA, is an advocacy organization.

  4. Kagan said military officials recruited through an off- campus veterans’ group as she enforced a rule barring them from using the law school’s office of career services because the military kept gay people from serving openly.

So, it appears that she and many college officials can’t tolerate the idea of the military obeying the law as passed by a solidly Democrat controlled Congress and signed by a Democrat president in 1993. Does she think the military should ignore laws? Or is she too stupid to understand the law?

No, they couldn’t tolerate violating their own non-discrimination policy. If the DOD wants to use the facilities of a college’s career services office, it should abide by the office’s rules.

  6. There a federal law (I forget the name) that says if a college accepts federal money, it has to allow the military there. I have never heard of it being enforced, though.

The point is that the military was forced by Congress (fully controlled by Democrats) to discriminate against gays. The military has no option on which laws they should obey and which they can ignore. To hold that against the military is an act of utter stupidity, the kind normally seen in liberal circles. Morons.
