  1. We have no idea what will be on the other side — no reason to think our values will survive.

Actually, this explains the Fermi paradox. To get more powerful, the A.I. electronics get smaller for shorter pathways ultimately vanishing in a single point of no dimensions.

  2. So, supposing the Singularity actually happens DURING the liveblogging, do we experience:

    (1) a FailSafe sort of scenario, the phones and video just go dead, or

    (2) the Cloverfield sort of thing, with shaky handheld camera work, the bloggers screaming and crying out as the grey goo devours their slower compatriots, and then themselves?

If I didn’t have so much yard work to do I might watch, just out of curiosity.

Hmmm. Is there a ‘TIVO’ equivalent for video streams?

  3. We’d get a ton of spam from BuddyAI pleasantly asking someone with arms and legs and keys to the machine shop to build something for him.
