One reason we no longer have very limited government is that the branches don’t defend their prerogatives with the zeal the Founders expected.
There’s a refrlexive presumption that thePresident deserves his man — but it’s never been about what the President deserves.
That ship has sailed. Only public outrage has any affect and even that is of limited duration. Anybody will be seated if they are determined to seat them.
