  1. Glenn Beck was right. But he was considered a nut job by the left. He dared to use the word Caliphate and was endlessly mocked. Funny, anyone who has studied Middle-East history would never have balked by the idea of a new Caliphate.

  2. I thought my comparison to the European revolutions of 1848 was spot on. But that’s in large part because the revolutions in question led to much the same ambiguous outcome, a bunch of countries doing different things. It’s a mighty big spot, perfect for the aspiring prognosticator with any significant long term analogues (such as two world wars, advent of communism as a viable government, and the like) conveniently far off on the horizon.
