Religion Of Peace Update

I know it’s become a sad joke, but when I heard last night about the execution of the two cops in New York, I thought “When will we find out that the perp was a Muslim”? With the last name “Brinsley,” I figured that we’d finally found a random murderous criminal act that wasn’t Jihad related — it was just from rage whipped up by the hateful race baiters like Sharpton (and de Blasio).

Well, it turns out that my relief came too soon:

In my previous posts on assassin Ismaaiyl Brinsley, who murdered two New York Police Department officers on Saturday, I noted that he had posted on Facebook a page of the Quran with a notorious verse calling on Muslims to “strike terror into the [hearts of] the enemies of Allah,” and another post about a fight he recently engaged in with an Atlanta panhandler when he discovered the panhandler was a “Muslim too.”

But an Instagram message posted by Brinsley during Ramadan five months ago may indicate that he visited one of America’s most terror-tied mosques.

Sigh.

  1. “I figured that we’d finally found a random murderous criminal act that wasn’t Jihad related”

I think if you really, really tried, you might just find other examples of non-Jihad related random murders, with 14,000 homicides, including around 50 policemen killed each year in the US to chose from.

      1. Or another way to say it, is the murders which are acts of terrorism.

Or if Sally poisons her husband it has nothing to do with terrorism.
Most murder doesn’t make a good story.
Not obvious or a good show.
Also reporters might get perverse pleasure seeking out terrorism
and not letting their stupid audience know it was Muslim terrorism.
It sort of like voted for something before they voted against it.
Or they can claim they covered it, when they actually didn’t.

      2. “Obviously there are thousands of murders that have nothing to do with Jihad.”

Including this double murder which was “retaliation for the slayings of black men at the hands of white police.”

The gunman who fatally ambushed two police officers in their squad car had a long criminal record, a hatred for police and the government and an apparent history of mental instability that included an attempt to hang himself a year ago, authorities said Sunday.

      3. I’m referring to high-profile, “breaking news” ones.

Another way to look at it is most violent crimes are committed between acquaintances. Some are particularly gruesome and make the nightly news, but not the national news. The murders that are not linked to a known acquaintance tend to get a different type of coverage whether terrorist or not.

  2. His religious affiliation is only relevant as a line in his bio. Right now, it looks like his religious beliefs had nothing to do in motivating his actions. Even though he cited the recent deaths of Brown and Garner and was involved in the protests, I suspect the real motivation for his actions had to do with whatever drove him to try and kill his girlfriend.

That doesn’t excuse the man claiming to be acting out of revenge and it certainly doesn’t excuse the militant Democrat activists and politicians that instill in their followers hatred, racism, and stereotypes as unquestioned dogma.

  3. If a muslim commits the murder, it’s because of his religion. If a black guy commits the murder, it’s because of ‘race-baiters’. But if a white guy commits the murder, it’s because he’s a lone wolf crazy person.

The proof of this Jerad and Amanda Miller, who just last year murdered two cops in Las Vegas in an ambush that (tactically at least) was entirely similar to what this idiot in NYC did. Despite their professed anti-government extremism, including their support of and appearance at Cliven Bundy’s ranch, no one on the right is going to say that their actions were motivated by anything more than insanity.

      1. I wonder if Dave will admit that these folks weren’t the radical right wing anti-government people he thought they were. Million Mask March isn’t what I would call right wing. Here is another person involved with Million Mask March: Russell Brand

I’ll say it: “Russell Brand is white and probably by motivated by more than just insanity.”

        1. I wonder if Dave will admit that these folks weren’t the radical right wing anti-government people he thought they were

Why would I admit that? It’s a ridiculous statement. Whether he attended the Million Mask March or not, here’s a better account of his disposition over the last two years of his life:

Jerad spent most of 2012 preaching Libertarian views and endorsing political candidates, such as former presidential contenders Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. He wrote about his opposition to welfare and universal health care, and attacked anyone favoring gun control. He compared America to Nazi Germany and wondered when the revolution would arrive.

In 2012 he wrote “I love the idea of a free america. I love the constitution. However, Americans have been neglecting their duties. Soon, USA will be slaughtering christans and constitutionalists by the millions in an effort to bring us one step closer to a new world order. They will attempt to disarm the world in an effort to have global tyranny. I do not wish this to pass, for this will end this world as we know it.

Now I don’t actually believe that the Tea Party is responsible for Jerad Miller’s lunacy. But nor do I think that Sharpton or DeBlasio or the Democratic Party or Islam are responsible for Brinsley’s homicidal rampage.
