New York City

goes backward:

The heart sinks. It took so much effort by so many people to clear up the human wreckage that so many years of liberal ‘compassion’ had created in a dying New York. And to see it all—I can’t put it any better than the esteemed New York Post—’pissed away’ by a mayor not smart or perceptive enough to have learned one thing from the experience of the last 20 years, since his own personal demons have left him stuck in the politics of the 1950s and 1960s, is tragic. It is so hard to build; so easy to destroy.”

Morons with no cultural memory electing morons.

  1. The same is happening in Seattle. The have built more homeless camps for the drug users, the mentally ill who really need medication and a stable environment and just plain lazy indigents victims of society.

The fact that gun crimes have increased over the past few years has more to do with guns than a rising homeless population, I imagine.

  2. Back to the TAXI DRIVER era . . .

Someday a real rain will come along and wash all the urine off the sidewalks.

  3. This is one area where the supposed “do gooders” could actually do some good. Set up a system of privately run hospitals for the ethically-challenged, non-socially-adjusted-by-way-of-neurological-malfunction people, all supported by charitable donations. There would be no shortage of the latter (except for the extremely wealthy on the far Left), since this is a recognized social problem that can be solved only with voluntary action.
