I suspect Obama will shut that down. It’s amazing his interest in Iran, when he has left Iraq to ruin, devastated Libya, prompted Saudi Arabia to start a trade war and arms race, and hurt relations with Egypt. Then there is his poor foreign relations with Turkey, Syria, and Israel. It’s like he is trying to create peace in the Middle East by forcing a unified a hatred of the US.
If Dinesh D’Souza’s thesis about Obama being an anti-colonialism True Believer is correct, the comment about forcing a unified hatred of the US may not be far off the mark. Except that peace in the Middle East isn’t necessarily an important criterion of success.
