28 thoughts on “Democrats Are “Targeted” By “Bombs””

  1. There was a quote going around from that Coddling of the American Mind book about people to the left being unable to articulate what people on the right think and instead wish-cast onto them what leftists think they should think.

This is what the hoax bombs come off as. There are misspellings of easy words, the pvc looks like it came straight out of a junk pile, the quality of craftsmanship is on par with what a 3rd grader could do, and the get er done sticker are all things that a lefty would make fun of someone on the right for rather than how someone on the right would act.

The hoaxer was a little too over the top in appealing to the target audience they wanted to motivate to vote. To normal people it is obvious but to lefties, it is exactly how they think someone on the right would act.

I hope they catch this person(s) quick.

    1. At this point I think it was the DNC itself, to motivate the LIVs.

(Low Information Voters or Low Intelligence Voters; take your pick.)

  2. Fake bombs for Fake News.

I mean, seriously, who would put a timer on a letter bomb? Maybe the USPS is more reliable than Canada Post, but it’s still pretty darn hard to tell when they’re going to be delivered.

And, more to the point, who, on receiving a letter bomb, would get out their phone and take pictures of it nicely arranged on a tabletop, next to a bottle of bleach?

The whole thing is so absurd I can’t see how anyone could possibly fall for it.

  3. The first chapter involving the bomb at George Soros’s house was tolerable but the next chapter made the target Robert De Niro. I just couldn’t suspend my disbelief any longer. What’s more, the author clearly did no research into bombs. 1/10, would not read again.

  4. I think whoever sent these items is a bit more capable than some want to give credit. If you asked me to send something to all these various targets, it would take sometime before I could develop the address for each of them. Of course, someone within the party could do so much sooner, and its not like Democrats haven’t doxed home addresses of people in the past. What was it, 3 weeks ago?

Anyway, I think this is the heart of the matter:
A lot of Democrats have openly called for civil unrest. They’ve excused and condoned violence for political purposes. Well, this is what that looks like. If they advocate this sort of chaos and lunacy, they shouldn’t act surprised when they become targets of it.

I’m not losing any sleep over this. An angry mob of foreigners burning the American flag and waving their home nation flag is massing towards our border, and the media and Democrats response is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. That’s a greater threat of real harm to people on both sides than these hoax bombs. So is mobbing representatives while they have meals in public.

In the meantime; I managed to buy a lottery ticket and vote at the same time, because apparently liberals can’t do this, at least according to Facebook Tuesday morning. Still, this is what regular people do. They don’t care what others get in the mail. They don’t get upset when someone has dinner out. They don’t get excited when a person 30 years later suddenly remembers they were once a victim of a something they didn’t even think was important at the time.

  5. The B-2 stealth bomber can be deployed with B-61-12 nuclear gravity “bombs”. Square quotes because I don’t think the bombs are intended to go off. They are intended to deter.

    1. Of course the nukes are not intended to go off — but they’re a pretty lousy deterrent if they’re not designed to.

Cesar Sayoc’s devices appear not to have been designed to go off — each was missing certain key components.

Sayoc, by the way, is half Seminole, half Filipino — but due to his views about Trump (MAGA zealots from 2016 would have told him he was going overboard), he’s “white.”

    2. B61’s have actually gone off, intentionally. The design was tested and proven to work, which is why they are an effective deterrence.

    3. Your analogy might be off but you make a good point. Even though the bombs were fakes, it doesn’t make it an ok thing to do to people.

People send death threats and powders to public figures all the time. The intent is to scare or harass people and while that isn’t as bad as actually trying to kill people, it is bad enough to get sent to jail and shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone.

This guy sending hoax bombs is just one person out of an unreported multitude of people engaging in this type of behavior. They should all get swift justice and they might but who knows because the media doesn’t cover it.

      1. I thought they were called “air quotes” because people use their fingers to illustrate that what they are saying is quoted.

        1. Air quotes, or scare or sneer quotes if you’re being sarcastic, sure. “Square quotes” sounds like someone’s phone guessed the wrong word while swipe-typing.

  6. I always thought they were intended to destroy the local gravity field, but leave buildings standing. Am I right?

  7. So, the hoaxer turned out to actually be an over the top Trump supporter. Truth is stranger than fiction as the saying goes.

    1. A Trump supporter who follows 32 Democrats on Twitter and no Republicans? Pull the other one, it’s got bells on.

      1. A Right Wing Nut from Central Casting. How convenient for the Democrats and the media, who have been pushing that caricature since at least the Tea Party. The timing is very fortuitous, too.

      2. …and in a country where wearing a MAGA hat can get you beaten up he had a van covered with Trump stickers (that looked all new) and the van was not touched?

        Not passing the smell test……

Lots of Lefties attended GOP rallies…some even posed as people of the Right and became provocative.

We don’t know the answer to this one yet

  8. The director of the FBI says the bombs were “IEDs” and “were not hoax devices”. You all say they are hoaxes or at least not meant to explode, so I’m definitely going to be believe you, but do you have any links to proof of your claims?

    1. Uh, just look at the pictures of the fake ‘bombs’. You know, like the one that CNN was so scared of that they put it on a table and took pictures of it and posted them on Twitter.

This is pure theater. A retarded monkey could have built a better bomb… if it actually wanted the bomb to go off.

The Democrats aren’t sending their best, that’s for sure.

    2. Bob-1:

If you are sending a bomb through the USPS, you DO NOT put a clock on it as a timed exploder…you have no idea when it’s going to go off.

That’s just one of the examples demonstrating they were hoax devices.

    3. @Bob-1

The same FBI that gets away with breaking the law.

Looks like your fake bomb hoax wasn’t working, so you and your friends went to Plan B.

  9. Did the FBI Director provide any proof? I’m still waiting on the FBI to provide proof that Trump colluded with the Russians, and its been what? 2 years that the FBI has made this claim without proof.

  10. In a joint statement, the Clintons, Barack Obama, CNN, and Darth Soros said, “We wish to go on record that aggressive force, or the threat of aggressive force, is never morally acceptable, not matter what the justify– Oh, wait, never mind.”
