If you click through to the washington post article that was the source for the blog post, you’ll see that you are wrong (you either failed to comprehend what you read, or you didn’t read it at all, and I suspect it is the latter case.) Don’t confuse the simple pleasure I take in mocking the president with actually caring about basketball, or his ability at it. I hate basketball, and wish it didn’t exist. It’s been a major contributor to the destruction of millions of lives in the inner city.

That’s an interesting idea. Seriously, I wish you would blog about that. It would be interesting to hear you expand on your thoughts, at your convenience of course.
For starters: If professional basketball didn’t exist, would you still hate basketball as a whole?
Also: Is it basketball in particular, or sports in general that are the problem? After all, it is easy to imagine basketball not existing, but some other sport would take its place, just as soccer/football takes its place in most of the world.
It is easy to imagine basketball not existing. It is somewhat harder (but still easy) to imagine that professional sports didn’t exist. It is difficult to imagine that sports in general didn’t exist. Not sure which of those you were hoping for.

Here’s my problem with all this Obama as a callow youth. It means NO ONE is looking at his record as a callow President!
No fan of the man Obama, but the boy Obama made the team that won state his senior year of HS. I’d say he must have been pretty good just to make the team, even if a benchwarmer. He went to a serious sports school.
