Dispatch From The Bizarro World

of Democrats:

Thanks to this bill — which doesn’t touch any of the civil service protections afforded public workers, nor any private-sector unions — public sector workers will have a choice over whether to join a union. Thanks to this bill, public workers who elect not to join a union won’t be forced to pay dues anyway. Thanks to this bill, elected officials won’t be negotiating away taxpayer dollars with the people who finance their campaigns. So, naturally, the Democrats call it the the undoing of fifty years of “civil rights.”

Naturally.

  1. It’s time to push through two new laws for Wisconsin unions:

    1) Unions must follow the same restrictions vis-a-vis politics as religions – no funding, no “recommendations”; otherwise they lose their special status.

    2) No unions based outside of Wisconsin may represent Wisconsin workers

  2. 3) Any promised benefits need to be monetized in the year promised. (IOW: Shift to defined contributions, not promises based on fantasy math.)

  3. Slightly OT, but Michelle Malkin’s cousin, Marizela Perez, is missing.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say what we all know:

A leftist almost certainly raped and murdered her.

  4. Ken, I think your post (claiming that a cousin of Mallkin was raped and murdered by leftists) is completely uncalled for. My view is that the vast majority of leftists, liberals, et al, are first and foremost believers in Free Lunch through OPM. They aren’t murderers, rapists, or have most of the negative traits commonly associated with them on conservative blogs. The leadership may well be power hungry, cynical, and other sociopathic traits, but the rank and file has sincere delusions IMHO.

If you can remember, back at the beginning of January, we had a shooting that near instantly was pinned on Palin and her inciteful (pun intended) cross hairs graphic. People were convinced that someone shot a Congresswoman (and other people) because of an almost year old graphic which has since been shown to be typical of graphics released by both Democrats and Republicans.

Now, you’re going ahead and claiming, on zero evidence, that leftists have raped and killed a woman. Your kind of irresponsible accusations have no play in civilized society. It was wrong when Palin was accused on the flimsiest of evidence of being an accessory to murder and it is similarly wrong when you do it.

There are a lot of vile, evil people in the world, and many of them have no recognizable political affiliation. Some are not even sane enough to have one. It also may be that this cousin has simply run away for some reason and no crime has been committed. We have to wait for facts before we say anything.

  5. You know what, Kurt? You’re right. I went too far on this one. I’m sorry.

Hopefully this girl will be found alive.

  6. So, I finally read something confirming the story that Michelle Malkin’s cousin is missing. I totally agree with Karl, there is no reason to assume any malice at this point and certainly no malice by a particular ideology. In fact, I’d wonder how anyone would have known previously that the girl was even related to Michelle Malkin.

On the topic, internal WI polling (from previous weeks) may suggest that Walker is in trouble for pushing this new bill. However outside the state, it’s pretty obvious that the Democrats and unions come off looking really bad. A lot of people have taken notice, and the next time conservatives, libertarians, Tea Partiers, or any right of center group protests in DC; nobody is going to tolerate Democrats walking through the lines complaining about being spit upon. Nobody is going to take seriously complaints about maps being symbols to incite violence. Nobody is going to be bullied into changing their views because some idiots try to suggest they are violent.

What will happen is they will continue to make their voices heard, clean up after themselves, and make it count at the voting box.

  7. Ken,
we are, evidently, cut from the same bolt of cloth. I thought it was a great line and I wished I’d thought of it first. But, when I read what you wrote, it took just a second for my feelings to kick in, and for me to stop and think of the missing lady’s family.

I think you did what we all do sometimes, (in utter frustration) you used the idiot tactics of the left as an opener in an attempt to make a point.

100 points for the effort, 100 points deleted for falling into their tactics. (hmmm, could life be a zero sum game after all?)

But it occurs to me that using that kind of tactic only works for the left and their followers because they never get to that ‘thinking of the family’ part of the story. They are much more interested in winning than they are in truth, or right and wrong. Sad but true. They’d rather win, and if it’s at the cost of someone’s life or their integrity, so what? Collateral damage is fine with the left.

After the AZ shooting, we all heard numerous lib talking heads saying that the shooter was OBVIOUSLY, TYPICAL, RIGHT-WING, or Too Much RHETORIC, Limbaugh, Limbaugh, Limbaugh, Beck, Beck, Beck, Palin, Palin, Palin, blah, blah, blah. But damned few who were truly concerned about the families of the victims. The “Memorial Service” was just another Pro-Obama Rally.

(what conservative would have worn a ‘We Love Bush’ t-shirt to a memorial, and then clapped and cheered at GWB’s talking points? and would the MSM leave it out of the news coverage?)

They took in AZ, and have taken in the Madison situation, the usual tactics of accusing first, name calling second, rinse and repeat even AFTER the truth is reported. What shocks me the most is not the union leader @$$holes, it’s the average joe, Democrat, TAX PAYERS of Wisconsin. They seem to be just sitting on the sidelines and watching. Surely working class people, out of jobs, who lost homes can see the selfishness of the teachers union.

Rahm must be very proud. The unionizer socialists and elected libs (is that redundant?) have NOT let the crisis go to waste.

They may lose this battle, but the Republican winners will wear the badges of Dictator, Totalitarian and Destroyer forever, even though they are working for ALL the citizens. Scott Walker will go to his grave as the REPUBLICAN WI Governor who drove the middle-class into the cold so their children could starve.

  8. We’ll know how people feel soon.

What I imagine is this: Democrats throw a fit for about 2 months.
Nothing explodes. Average Joe and Joanna notice, but just file it away.

    The End.

  9. I’ve been reading about Marizela Perez’s disappearance at several blogs for the last two or three days. She’s been missing for five days now. This doesn’t sound good at all. I’ve got a bad feeling about it.

But I’ve never suspected any political angle whatsoever. If she has met with foul play, I think there’s about a 99% chance it was a lunatic or a common criminal.

  10. This is heartbreaking. I haven’t been to Michelle’s blog in a few days and this is the first I’ve heard of it. If we do discover a political motivation it would drive my anger up several notches more than just this news has.

I really do want to go nuclear on all this worlds evil. This girl and her family should all be in your prayers (I am not able to pray but I certainly care.)
