Josh Earnest

Am I the only one struck by the almost Dickensian poetry of that name for a White House spokesperson? Particular as it seem oxymoronic. Are we supposed to use the first, or last name as a guide to the veracity of statements made? Given the many absurd statements coming out of this White House, particularly lately, I’m going to go with the former.

  1. If only I had a dollar for everytime someone asks me, “So, you joshin’ me?” I just tilt my head back and and clutch my chest as I issue out a half-assed hardy har har.

  2. He finally settled on “Josh Earnest” after changing his given name, “Wesley Mouch,” to “Ellsworth Toohey.”

  3. Of course this could be more of an Ian Fleming double entendre’ kind of thing, if you follow an old, country folks KY thing. Joshing around was what horses did to make little horses, goats did to make little goats, etc. It may also be where the saying Josh Reiter quotes comes from partially.

So when Mr. Earnest is telling us, Mr. Obama’s side of things, perhaps we might just be getting Josh’d, mule style?

    Again.

    Still.
