  1. I wonder how closely our blood and lymph systems match the salinity and various salt proportions in the oceans. I find sea salt to add more flavor to the foods I actually salt anymore. I seem to be one of the lucky few whose blood pressure isn’t affected by high salt levels, but going to sea salt just seemed like a good idea in general.

  2. I understand blood and seawater to have similar balance between electrolytes, seawater having ~3 times the concentration. Having an intake of salts close to a proper balance should be easier on kidneys than a heavy concentration on one salt over others. Also easier than the acute deficiency in salt that the “health nazi brigade” appears to be pushing. But as long as you salt intake isn’t too far out of order, and your kidneys are functioning correctly, your kidneys should be able to adapt to varying salt intake.
