    1. Or “My dead son wanted me to run.” Joe Biden will be “drafted” into taking her place – which would have been the plan all along. . . .

The FBI is Obama’s creature now, as the IRS “investigation” made clear.

      1. The question is, when are the deadlines for filing in the early voting states? Maybe it wouldn’t matter. The legal process is a long one, how long from the FBI recommending charges to the DOJ bringing charges to an actual court date? That could be 2020 or later. Maybe this will still be an issue for Hillary’s reelection.

And I get the feeling that if Hillary had to leave the race and there was no one left to vote for, Democrats would claim that deadlines for filing should be waived out of fairness. Even if Sanders and O’Malley were still in the race, they might claim they should be allowed to ignore the rules and nominate someone else.

  1. Hillary Clinton is without a doubt indictable. The proven fact is that classified data, including some marked as such (TS/SI), resided on a server she set up, a server not authorized for such use. Her signed NDA merely reenforced an already solid case.

As we saw in the Petraus case, if the JD drags its feet and does not indict in spite of being given clear proof, the FBI will start leaking like a sieve to apply pressure on the only agency that can indict; the JD.

My guess is that Obama, having learned this lesson in the Petraeus case, won’t try to subvert justice by having the JD hold off. Instead, he’ll let the indictment happen, and Biden will step in as Hillary’s replacement, one untared by a primary battle with her. It’s a win-win for Obama; he comes out smelling like a rose for following the law, and he gets the D nominee he’d prefer as his successor, Biden.

My take on Obama’s since-walked-back “nothing to see here” interference; political cover with Hillary supporters for when the indictment comes.

What I’m wondering is whether Hillary would end her campaign if indicted? My guess is she would, if offered a pardon.

As for Hillary, I’m thinking she made a Freudian slip recently, when she said that presidents shouldn’t have to disclose their criminal histories.

    1. Heh, you are soooo wrong. Prove there is ANY classified material of any kind in those emails. Here let me provide you with a quote chosen at random from the released emails.

      “_____________________________________________ ”

      Where is the classified information?

  2. ” Instead, he’ll let the indictment happen, and Biden will step in as Hillary’s replacement, ”

    Biden?

Or Bernie……occurred to me recently that Bernie is the next step in the ever more Socialist Democrat party. Who better to keep and “enhance” Obama’s policies?

    1. Gregg, your comment makes me shudder, because it’s plausible.

Sanders, to me, is just as acceptable and viable as a KKK, NAZI, or NAMBLA cantidate. In other words, a reprehensible embarrassment.

As for Biden… I don’t like him, at all, but I was thinking that to Obama, he’d be appealing because having a VP elected to the presidency is seen as a seal of approval of the prior administration. This, it’d appeal to his ego. However… Sanders, a socialist, would appeal to Obama’s radical left anti-American instincts.

      Ugh.

And, if that wasn’t bad enough, my hunch is that the Democrat nominee has a better than even chance of winning in the general, because I see strong signs that the GOP might nominate a GOPe (GOP establishment) candidate (Rubio or Bush) who will depress R turnout, and thus lose (there are some Republicans who won’t vote for a GOPe candidate, and it’d only take a percent or two to ensure defeat). The Republican party is nothing if not adept at snatching defeat from the looming jaws of victory.

I hope I’m wrong, but both Bush and Rubio (especially Rubio) are doing better in the polls than McCain was at about this point in 2007 (when many were declaring him done and over).

I don’t think Biden has the moxie to pull off the lawlessness that Obama has. And I think Obama knows it.

Bernie, on the other hand, is a “natural” when it comes to Socialist, Centralized Control outlook and policy.

But on the other hand, I still maintain that Obama has to tread a thin line as if he pushes too hard to defeat Hillary, she may pull a Samson act and bring them both down.

    2. Bernie is easily in step with the current democrat party, but he has a couple problems:
      – He’s not a Party Insider.
      – He’s too honest about his politics. Democrats usually have to LIE to win elections.

I suspect Pelosi and the rest of the Soccie’s in the Dem Party see Bernie as a useful tool in the WH. He’ll veto what they want vetoed and push what they want pushed. Much of what he says on the stump conforms to their demonstrated action.

  3. The journalistic malpractice surrounding this affair is breathtaking. In the DC area, there are probably more people holding TS/SCI/SI-TK clearances than there are anywhere else in the United States. For any news outlet to still be parroting the fabrication that the documents on Hillary’s server were not marked classified is unforgivable. I’m relatively new to the black world, but I know that any of the communications she had that involved foreign intelligence were absolutely forbidden on an unclassified system. Any amateur journalist worth two cents could verify that fact. That the entire DC press corps hasn’t yet can only mean that they are in her camp, and that, therefore, they are not journalists.

    1. MfK, I agree with you. Even if not marked TS, SI, etc, many things in Hillary’s e-mail were born classified due to source. However, there were also some TS/SI marked docs in Hillary’s e-mail, which even further invalidates her legally-irrelevant “defense”. Yet, in spite of this being a proven fact, the media is still parroting her dis-proven (and legally absurd) defense. I call that shilling.

MfK, I’d like to ask you a question, but please don’t answer if it could cause you any difficulties at all with your job, etc. Hypothetically, what would happen to you if you decided to set up a secret private e-mail server in your basement that had the kind of classified things Hillary’s had on it? My guess is your prize would include a lovely pair of linked bracelets, without any annoying wait.

      1. I asked a colleague of mine the same question. He’s been in the black world (including the intelligence community, which I’m not) for forty years. He just smiled ruefully and said “They’d lock us up and throw away the key.”

    2. Yeeep.

Like I said below, this FBI thing is not about nailing her, its about finding a way to let her off the hook.

The letter from McClatchy to the Senators involved was itself classified at the highest levels yet it appeared on a public twitter feed for about three minutes the disappeared. That twitter account has since been terminated.

  4. Seems to me the actual special agents-in-charge who make these kinds of decisions know that they’ll have to try to serve under whoever wins next November — and if they know Hillary is crookeder than a bent corkscrew, they may not be as open right now to political pressure from up top as the political pukes might prefer.

Especially if said pukes are most focused in the last year of their terms on finding a cushy, high-paying “rainmaker” spot at some big-time law firm or lobbying outfit, set to be available on Jan. 20, 2017.

  5. McClatchy has already written letters to senators about two emails that were SCI/CN classification (I may have the last two initials wrong) sent by Clinton. This is not about finding a way to get her, its about finding the right ones to let her off the hook.

This is EXACTLY the same playbook as the 1990’s people.

Then nothing that is ever thrown at her will stick.
