  1. Both at some level. They initially accepted the low-IQ, and they stayed in power using voter fraud. The IQ got worse because they couldn’t be beat. The low-IQ reached initial success by building block coalitions.

  2. Contradictions are inherent to their ideology and the true believers are used to thinking one thing one minute and another the next. A sizeable group knows the rules won’t apply to them because of their place in the progressive stack or that their behavior is favored by those in charge.

    A lot of people might agree with some of the policies in spirit even if they think they are poorly implemented or keep running into “bad luck” and the party of the status quo is better than voting for the party that is responsible for every bad thing that ever happened in history and wants to destroy the world and bring back slavery.

    CA gets poor leadership due in part to the lack of competition but also because Californians are either low IQ and/or gullible.
