  1. Rand you seem to have an almost morbid fascination with this guy. Have you found out if Wilson was related to Lenin in anyway? They were contemporaries. Maybe they have a common ancestor?

    1. They have a common ideological ancestor (Rousseau). Wilson was arguably the first fascist (and racist) dictator we had as president, and his treatment in government schools is far too kind.

  2. The problem the two of you don’t get is that Democrats are like the Hollywood stereotypic arch Republican business tycoon. They will gladly throw just about any former leader or figure under the bus to obtain money and power in the present. For example a few weeks ago during all the controversy over Stennis Space Center several of my Democrat friends who wanted to rename Stennis when asked by me also indicated that the would gladly support renaming JSC too. In fact as it was put to me if renaming JSC and throwing LBJ under the bus was what necessary to defeat Trump they would absolutely be in favor of it. As they say who cares about dead politicians.

For those who you might think this is harsh well it is no different than Elon Musk(who many here view as a hero) “cancelling” co-founder Martin Eberhard out of Tesla and basically re-writing Tesla’s corporate history in favor of himself. That is what “winners” do and for at least me personally I find this the most redeeming quality of the Democratic Party, the ability to destroy the past to win the future.

      1. It would hurt Trump in the sense Trump opposes renaming anything. If Trump were smart he would propose his own list of stuff to be renamed starting with Stennis, JSC etc. (In terms of personal preference I tend to oppose naming anything after politicians unless they have been dead for a very long time)

    1. We now, thanks largely to the space shuttle program, have enough dead astronauts killed “on the job” to rename 19 centers after them. Not that I’d recommended doing that. Analysis paralysis is the last thing NASA needs right now.
