  1. Oil users, Koch customers, even government of Rock Ridge just pawns in game of life.

(a game BTW which is actually controlled by Koch Industries)

It simple though, Crony capitalism BAD, Crony socialism GOOD!!

    Mongo like Sheriff Bart!!

  2. Sorry, that was supposed to be for the “new” ideas thread.

Looks to me like a two minute hate. I also find the moral double standard stupefying. Several of the complaints were about markets where the US government interfered via a variety of subsidies and public goods (such as logging roads). The only way to avoid getting those is to stay out of the market altogether. Yet the Koch brothers are criticized because they use this stuff rather than dissolve their companies in this area.

If one takes that reasoning to the absurd conclusion, most of us aren’t allowed to criticize government spending because we buy food subsidized by the government. We have to grow our own food or starve to death first before our beliefs will be given any credibility. Of course, if you go the “grow your own food” route, some new privilege granted you by government (such as land ownership or a driver’s license) will preclude you from having an opinion.

Yep, and now, thanks to Obamacare, they get to apply that same “reasoning” to medical attention.

    Just don’t call it a “death panel”…

I dunno, “high speed trains” is about as useful commentary as the left’s “Koch brothers”. It is just the left’s politico phrase of the week that’s supposed to show their superiority in understanding what this country needs, or alternatively what is destroying the country. Neither phrase is serious or well considered, so just throwing them out is as effective as they get. So by all means:

    high speed trains
    Sarah Palin
    Koch brothers
    Teabaggers
    etc…
    rinse, spit, repeat

  6. If a person is sick and irrational you take control of anything dangerous away from them so the don’t hurt themselves or others.

The Koch brothers are de facto evil in the minds of the left. Therefore they see support for that belief as the post brings out that a rational mind understands to be what it is… pure bunk.

Make no mistake, these people are dangerous. They may already have destroyed this country. We need to survive to pick up the pieces and rebuild it. We start by doing whatever is in our power to take power away from these children and keep it out of their hands. The question is are we adult enough to do it? We can’t do it alone. We need each other. It’s going to be bad. What I can’t stand is we get to watch the damage happen in slow motion.
