  1. It’s an interesting paper. They’re focused on space surveillance instead of the full spectrum of SSA, but space surveillance is where the money is. Based on their calibrations, their high definition ephemerides are much more accurate than the general perturbations element sets that are published by the JSpOC*. They claim positional accuracy of 100-400 meters at GEO, which is damned good. They also claim their system is much more accurate and responsive at detecting and tracking satellite maneuvers. They are focused on GEO because of customer interest but can also track LEO objects. They’re even establishing their own space surveillance network of sensors. Cool stuff.

    *The JSpOC also generates special perturbations element sets that are highly accurate but doesn’t distribute them because they’re considered targeting quality.
